I tried a fresh hg clone last night on my Mac and had trouble with the
build.  It actually installed okay but was missing efs (I thought I already
had all the packages installed).  I tried building and installing
xemacs-packages but that gave me other problems.  I wound up dropping back
to 21.5.28.  I haven't had a chance to examine the problem enough to
actually provide a useful report (I do recall load-path being suspiciously
short).  I'll try to install again later this evening or tomorrow and lodge
a more useful report.
