[Bug: 21.4.19] xemacs crashes when I start gnus

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll give it a look.  Or maybe I'll just
try using a 21.5 series version.  Mostly, I don't want flashiness - I
just want something that will continue to work and have basic updates
to its functionality.  Fortunately, XEmacs's packages mean that a lot
of the functionality gets updated regularly enough for me, but I guess
I've just run into an unlucky bit.
