[Bug: 21.4.19] xemacs crashes when I start gnus

No.  We don't currently have the manpower to push the new
user-oriented features to release quality (ie, appropriate defaults,
good documentation) in the near future.

If you're looking for something with lots of shiny new features like
video in the buffer and asynchronous sound play, or more fancy math
functions, but no major architectural advances (yet, AFAIK) over
XEmacs 21.4, you might want to look at SXEmacs (www.sxemacs.org).
