Refraining from unwarranted name-calling and wild analogies should help.
If things don't look bad enough without applying lots of hyperbole, then
one should question one's urge to turn on the hyperbole tap.

Something like <URL:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/eula/home.mspx>
does not require hyperbole for looking bad.
