byte compiler problem: miscompiling emacs-w3m

We are using the latest CVS HEAD of emacs-w3m.

The problem was reproducible with CVS HEAD from 20070717 and also with a
CVS HEAD from yesterday. CVS of emacs-w3m is here:

    cvs -d :pserver:anonymous at cvs.namazu.org:/storage/cvsroot login
    (CVS password empty)
