Unified file-name syntax?

Yes, as it is the case already. Everybody can choose the preferred
syntax by setting tramp-syntax, *nothing* else needs to be done by a
user.

Of course it needs some more tests whether the EFS-like syntax runs
fine with XEmacs, I guess it hasn't been used so much.

And documentation changes might be necessary.
