You've got a vendor binary, please file a bug with them so they're
aware of it. They may be able to correlate useful information with
other reports.

The crash occurred inside the file-name completion routine, which is
surprisingly complex: needle in a haystack. Even if you did have a
core file, the binary is almost certainly stripped of its symbols, so
a debugger would tell us almost nothing.

If you want to help debug this and other crashes you have experienced,
we would greatly appreciate it. The procedure is to get the vendor's
debug package for XEmacs which provides the symbol table needed to
make sense of the debugger information, and install it. Then run
XEmacs from the debugger with gdb /path/to/xemacs, and if you get a
crash, don't kill the process, call us (well, email to
xemacs-beta at xemacs.org), and we probably can get the needed
information with a few debugger commands. The burden on your system
compared to running XEmacs without the debugger is very small.

It's up to you, of course, but we would greatly appreciate your help.
