I've started seeing some of those as well.  Looks like there have been some 
regressions in the latest cperl-mode sync with upstream, I'll look into it, 
but that probably won't happen until next week or the one after it.

In the meantime, you should be able to revert back to the official released 
perl-modes package.

Norbert, in case you happen to be considering new stable package releases, I 
think it'd be better to not promote the new perl-modes just yet.
