I'm very happy with MHonArc <http://www.mhonarc.org/> for my archiving,
which uses Namazu <http://www.namazu.org/> for searching. There are
example archives listed on the MHonArc site, and mine are at...

  <http://www.sxemacs.org/list-archives/html/>

It would be a trivial matter for me to host XEmacs list archives as
well. And if anyone can get the old mbox files to me I can have the
full archives back up complete with search ability. And there is
absolutely nothing anyone needs to do with mailman. If you wanted to
you could even turn off archiving in mailman completely (though a backup
archive probably wouldn't be a bad idea).

The offer is on the table, let me know.
