[21.5.27] Another crash, this time in search.c, reproducible

Hrmpf. With xemacs -vanilla I can't reproduce the crash, either. The
particular operation causing the crash was inserting any character in
the buffer. It's probably not related to font-lock (that was my first
guess), because I got the crash even after disabling font-lock in the
buffer before hitting a key. I'm sorry I can't provide more info, but
stripping down my setup so that it's reproducible from vanilla is
something I don't have time for at the moment.
