Yup.  Unlikely to get fixed before July, unless somebody else wants to
dive into the code.  The Xft code in lwlib is just grafted on (hell,
all of the Xft code is just grafted on), there's no support for faces
in lwlib anyway, etc.  Contributions in any of those areas would be
very welcome.

Almost certainly an Xft bug; Xft is known to lie about what pixels it
is going to touch.  (These are pixels that are outside of the text
extent proper, but may be touched for antialiasing.)
