Hello,

In February I posted a problem with coding auto-detection of ISO-8859-1 encoded
files. I also devised a patch and posted it to xemacs-patches on Feb 28, after
this email exchange:

Is there any chance to get a reaction to that patch? Just dropping it to
/dev/null is not the reaction that I expected. ;-)

If somebody would send me examples of files in Shift-JIS and Big5 encoding, I
could do more testing myself; but as I got none, I need support here.

Cheers,
