ISTR this is a known bug, fixed in CVS.  You should try updating and
rebuilding.

If that doesn't work, please evoke the crash, either from within gdb
or with core dumps enabled, and send us a C backtrace using gdb.  We
will try to reproduce, but you will get much faster results if you can
send us a backtrace for your environment.  We *must* have a C
backtrace to debug crashes, and there's no guarantee we'll be able to
reproduce your crash.

section of the FAQ (starting with node "Q2.4.1" of menu item "FAQ" in
Info), and some additional advice is presented in the "Reporting
Problems" node of the "Beta" menu item in Info.
